讲座题目:激光尾波加速及辐射研究Laser wakefield acceleration and radiation

摘要
近年来超短超强激光技术得到了飞速发展,基于激光等离子体尾波场的电子加速及新型辐射源研究得到了世界范围内的广泛关注。本报告将对激光尾波加速原理做初步介绍,而后将对上海交通大学在激光尾波加速中的高品质电子注入、新型级联加速,及基于激光尾波的受控X射线辐射源方面的研究工作进行介绍。我们将主要介绍基于离化的尾波电子注入机制,获得超低能散、超低发射度的电子束;介绍基于弯曲等离子体通道的多激光脉冲尾波级联加速,提供面向TeV正负电子对撞机的级联解决方案;介绍基于非线性汤姆逊散射和等离子体通道的X射线辐射,实现对辐射强度及偏振的可控调谐。
The rapid development of ultrashort ultraintense laser technology in recent years leads to big progresses of laser plasma based accelerators and radiation sources around the world. In this report, a short introduction of laser wakefield acceleration (LWFA) will be given. Recent studies on high quality electron injection, new scheme of multi-staged wakefield acceleration and controlled x-ray radiation from LWFA at SJTU will be introduced. Specifically, we will focus on the studies of ionization based high quality electron injection, curved plasma channel based multi-staged LWFA, plasma channel based controlled x-ray radiation, and high order nonlinear Thomson scattering.
主讲人简介
陈民,上海交通大学物理与天文学院教授。2002年在中国科学技术大学获得理学学士学位,2007年在中国科学院物理研究所获理学博士学位。2007年至2009年间受德国洪堡基金资助在亨利希海涅杜塞尔多夫大学从事洪堡博士后研究,随后加入美国劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室继续从事激光等离子体尾波场加速方面的博士后研究。2012年加入上海交通大学。2006年以来与合作者共发表相关论文140余篇(包括11篇Physical Review Letters,2篇Nature Photonics, 2篇Light: Science & Applications,1篇Nature Communications, 1篇PNAS),总引用超过3300次,H因子31(web of science查询)。获上海市自然科学一等奖,求是杰出科技成就集体奖和亚太等离子体学会青年科学家奖(U40)。
Min Chen, professor of School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received Bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2002. Later he received PhD degree from Institute of Physics, Beijing, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral research fellow in Heinrich Heine Universitaet, Duesseldorf, Germany. After that he joined Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) as a postdoctoral research fellow. From 2012, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since 2006 he coauthored more than 140 peer-reviewed scientific research papers including 11 published in Physical Review Letters, 2 in Nature Photonics, 2 in Light: Science & Applications, 1 in PNAS and1 in Nature Communications). The total citation number of these publications is more than 3300, H index is 31. He was awarded the first prize in Natural Science by Shanghai government and Qiushi group award for outstanding scientific and technological achievements in 2018. In 2019 he was awarded the U40 prize from AAPPS-DPP.
